Cirrus Aircraft Training Software (CATS) was released for purchase today. The advanced design and technology of Cirrus aircraft calls for a new generation of training software. CATS will meet this need and take aircraft familiarization training to the next level. Pilots will soon be able to learn about their Cirrus aircraft in a whole new way. The Cirrus Aircraft Training Software (CATS), available fall 2004, will utilize the latest software technology to provide SR20/22 pilots with an engaging and easy to use reference for learning their aircraft inside and out.

While the organization and content of CATS will closely match that of the Pilot's Operating Handbook, the software will offer much more. Animation, sound, and interactive simulations will involve the pilot in hands-on learning. System schematics that respond to control inputs will enable easy visualization of how the system works. Checklist practice exercises will further prepare pilots for the real-world operation of the aircraft.

Cirrus Standardized Instructor Program (CSIP) hits 100 members! In only 10 months time the CSI program has reached this milestone. With 100 individual CSIs and 10 Cirrus Training Centers in the US, Canada and Europe, this revolutionary program has helped raise the safety level for all Cirrus pilots.
